Helping Hands work their magic in Tahiti

Pepeete and Paca stakes (Similar to a diocese): Organized different workshops on how to become an independent person. Authorities in the country visited with great interest in the workshops. The Ministry of Family visited and was interested in a workshop on families to be presented in May.

Faaa stake: Organized a partnership with the City taking a census of various plants. Members wearing their yellows helping hands vest were seen throughout the communities. The continuity of this project will be over two years in planting a forestation of fruit trees in this country. The members will bring their hands and the City will provide the necessary tree’s.

Paca stake: Directed their Helping Hands operation towards cleaning yards, fence banks around two schools in Mahina and Papenoo and the neighborhood of the Mahina College.

Raitaea: Elder Tefen reported that the stake participated in cleaning Faaroa High school and the road leading to Mount Temahani, in the preserving of the very protected flower, the Tiare Apetahi that grows on the Mountain.

The local radio stations and newspapers commented on the good work that had been accomplished by the Helping Hands projects, thanks to the great leadership of Errol Bennett.
